Matthew 3:1-12
“Prepare the way for the Lord, make His paths straight.” (Matthew 3:3)
John the Baptist calls us to repentance, for “the kingdom of heaven has come near” (Matthew 3:2). His voice in the wilderness reminds us to clear the crooked places in our hearts and turn back to God. True repentance bears fruit (Matthew 3:8) — a life reshaped by humility, justice, and love.
As we continue this Advent journey, we are invited to prepare the way within us, to make room for the One who comes “after me, mightier than I” (Matthew 3:11). May our hearts be made ready for Christ’s coming.
